PTA Mobile Tax List 2024

The regulatory fee on the import of mobile phones for up to $30 must now be imposed at a fixed amount of Rs300 per device, according to the FBR’s website. On the other hand, each person would be taxed Rs31,520 for the import of mobile phones worth more than $500 per set.

How to pay PTA Mobile Tax 2024

To pay PTA mobile tax follow these steps.

  1. Create an account of DIBRS (Device Identification, Registeration and Blocking system) from its official website.
  2. Once you have gained access to the DIBRS you have to sign up.
  3. After creating the account, a notification will appear which you have to read carefully.
  4. After this you have to fill up the two obligatory fields from the list provided. There are two essential fields: ‘purpose’ and ‘user type.’
  5. When you click on the term “purpose,” you will be presented with two options: “personal” and “commercial.” The commercial option is only available to FBR-registered importers and businesses.
  6. After selecting the “personal” option, you must also pick the user type. Once again, you will be offered two options: ‘Pakistani’ (local, international traveller, dual national) and ‘Foreigner.’ Select an option by clicking on it.
  7. Following that, you must fill out the form with your complete name, email address, phone number, and so on.
  8. After filling all tjhe details, click on submit.
  9. PTA will send you a confirmation email at your email address. To log in after verifying your account, enter your email address and password.
  10. When you log in to your account, the individual COC option will appear on the left side of your screen. Simply click on it.
  11. Now, choose Apply for COC. When you click on it, you will be presented with a variety of options on your screen.
  12. Choose whether you are a local or an international traveller, or whether you got the phone through a courier service.
  13. In such case, all you need to do is choose your network operator and enter your contact information.
  14. Then, choose the number of slots on your device.
  15. After selecting mobile slots, you must provide your device’s IMEI. If you have more than one slot, you must enter IMEIs for each one.
  16. When you’ve finished inputting the IMEI, click “submit.”Following verification of the information, the system will create the payment Slip ID (PSID) code, as well as duties and taxes.
  17. After that, you may use the PSID code to pay the tax using internet banking, mobile wallets, ATMs, or any of the major banks’ branches.

Important: The Payment slip ID (PSID) is only valid for seven days. After then, the PSID code will expire, and you will have to reapply for mobile registration.
