3. When you launch the program, you will be taken to the settings page, where you may configure the port, sound, video quality, and username/password.
4. If the default options are appropriate, scroll down and select the “Start server” option.

6. Take note of this address and enter it into your PC’s web browser. You will be sent to a website with links to numerous ways for your new webcam.  From the list, you need to use either of the two links.
7. Use the links again to download and install the camera driver on your PC, depending on your operating system (Windows or Linux).

Using a USB cable, connect your Android phone to the webcam.

You can use your Android as a webcam even if you don’t have internet by connecting it to your computer through USB. However, doing so requires more effort because Android can only connect with a PC through USB in debugging mode via ADB. Another software called DroidCam is required for USB mode.

1. Configure your phone to debug mode (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging).
2. Connect the phone to your computer using a USB cable (do not choose storage mode if the phone asks you while connecting the USB cable).
3. DroidCam may be downloaded from the Android Market, installed, and opened on your phone.
4. DroidCam can be downloaded from the Android Market, install it , and open on your phone. It will display the message “Server is starting.”
5. Then download and install the client application from Dev47Apps on your PC.
6. Launch the DroidCam app and select the “USB” option or button.

DroidCam will now open your phone’s camera and allow you to use it as a webcam on your PC.
