Is it worth enough to upgrade iPhone 12 to iPhone 13?

iPhone 13 has arrived in the market and just like previous phones by Apple have always been the center of attention, the same way through their newly released iPhone 13, Apple has again stood on the top in the mobile market giving a tough competition to other mobile brands. Apple’s latest handsets are once again among the greatest phones money can buy. The new Apple smartphone features the modern generation of Apple’s smartphone SoCs, but at first sight, it appears to be very identical to its predecessor. If you are considering upgrading to the new iPhone,

The iPhone 13 has been roundly condemned for lacking in innovation, but is that claim true? The new iPhone 13 has a current price of Rs. 194,999 while you can get the new iPhone 12 in at Rs. 175,199 in Pakistan. iPhone 12 is not only cheaper but outmatches the latest iPhone 13. People with iPhone 12 are still considering if spending a huge sum of money on the latest upgrade by Apple is worth it.

In this article, Mobilesly has explained all the reasons why you should and should not upgrade to the latest iPhone 13.

Why you should buy the latest iPhone 13?

There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and purchase options will always vary depending on money, how well one’s phone already functions, and personal demands. But first, let’s layout all of the facts so that you can make the best decision possible.

The newest iPhones outperform the iPhone 12 in practically every important manner, particularly in terms of battery life and display quality. It is worth mentioning, that there have been a few reports of iPhone 13 problems. In the case of the iPhone 13 and 13 mini, you receive more storage for your money than you did with the equivalent iPhone 12 models. Those two iPhone 13 models now start with 128GB of storage, rather than the 64GB supplied by the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, on the other hand, feature new 1TB storage choices.

Apple has made the most improvements to the screens since the iPhone12, despite the AMOLED panels used in the iPhone 13 series remaining the same size as their predecessors. Instead, Apple promises brighter displays— in fact, 28 percent brighter than the iPhone 12’s panels. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini have a brightness of 800 nits, while the iPhone 13 Pro versions have a brightness of 1,000 nits. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, the first Apple phones with ProMotion screens, are the focus of the larger display narrative. That is, they can alter their refresh rate dynamically between 10Hz and 120Hz to match your onscreen activity. The iPhone 12 Pro versions, like the iPhone13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12, and iPhone 12 mini, were locked at 60Hz.

The camera modifications on the iPhone 13 Pro versions are much more significant. Even if the number of lenses is the same from phone to phone, cameras appear to be a significant point of differentiation between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12. That’s because what Apple has done with the camera technology should result in an entirely different photographic experience on the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini both include a 12MP primary camera with the largest sensor ever utilized in a dual-camera iPhone. It should allow in 47 percent more light than the iPhone 12 camera, resulting in crisper images. The sensor-shift optical image stabilization technology, which Apple brought to the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year, is present on both two iPhone 13 models, and the ultrawide lens offers better clarity in the darkest portions of your photographs. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max include a larger primary sensor for improved low-light shots, and the ultrawide angle lens has a wider f/1.8 aperture.

The iPhone 13 performs somewhat better in low-light photography than its predecessor. Another feature worth mentioning is Cinematic mode, which is available on all four iPhone 13 models. This is not a feature found on the iPhone 12.

The A15 Bionic CPU powers all iPhone 13 devices, an improvement from the A14 Bionic chip present in all iPhone 12 models. Given that the A14 was the fastest system-on-chip, this should result in some impressive performance. The iPhone 12 has some of the strongest 5G compatibility available, but Apple claims that the new phones will support even more 5G bands. Apple also claims that the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro will last up to 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 which means you will get a better battery experience with iPhone 13.

Why should you not buy iPhone 13?

You would expect phones to progress from one generation to the next, but the improvements between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 12 are too little to justify spending more money on the iPhone 13 when you already own the iPhone 12. The charging speed is one of several things that haven’t changed with the new phone. The iPhone13, like the iPhone12, does not include a charger. In terms of design, there isn’t much of a change between the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 12. iPhone 13 is also heavier to carry as compared to the iPhone 12.

The simple answer is that most iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 owners can probably forgo this upgrade because their phones are still in good shape and there isn’t anything that alters the experience significantly. Those who possess older models, notably the iPhone XS and earlier, will likely benefit significantly in terms of photography functionality and battery life.

Samsung is also coping up with the competition. Its most awaited S22 models will soon be released and fans are excited to see what Samsung has done to its new launch and if like iPhone 13, the new Samsung Galaxy S22 will disappoint them with a little difference between the latest and previous model. A complete review of the Samsung Galaxy S22 is available on Mobilesly.
